Walking With Wolves

Wolverhampton Art Gallery

April - July 2025

Walking With Wolves by Where we are...is co-created with Polly Brant and young people: Koji, Jess, Laura, Oli, Logan, Siarra, Bella, Jess, Andrea, Bright, Sophia, Harjot, Prabjot, Nacha, Vyvian and Simran.

The exhibition reflects upon the history of Wolverhampton and captures their experiences of being young people here, while looking forward to the future, hoping for the best for their city. Through Walking With Wolves, the young people explore themes of Wolverhampton’s industrial history, it’s high street and architecture. Within this reflective exhibition they invite you to ‘Walk with Wolves’ to think about your own experiences of the city and imagine a hopeful future for it; where there are more spaces for young people, buildings aren’t left empty, and community fills the high street.

The exhibition celebrates the end Where We Are… and includes what they have produced during the project. Where We Are... is a national programme run by The British Museum for those aged 16–24 which aims to empower young people through the co-creation of arts and culture projects within their own communities.
